Survival Guide
All material must be saved to your network account or uploaded to the class wiki page. The class must choose one place to send the material.
All material will be transferred electronically from your account to my computer. No printed material will be allowed.
If you are writing material at home, make sure you can get it to school, and into your network folder, before the due date.

Podcast
Choose a topic and create a video podcast on the topic, so that it may be used in next years class.
Topics include: How to study; How to take notes; How to take exams; Any topic in World History.
Letter to next year's class- Letter should cover the following:
What kinds of things would have been helpful for them at the beginning of class?
If doing this class again, what would you have done differently?
How could you have been better prepared?
What can they anticipate in this class?
What can they look forward to in this class?
What are keys to success in this class?
Research for next year
Find five (5) web pages that will help you with your AP classes, or for helping
you get ready for college life (If you are a senior).
These web pages need to be annotated. Which means describe the information the page
offers and how you think it will help you.
Questions to answer
What ideas do you have for outside texts? Explain reasoning for their use.
What could be done to better use supplemental reading assignment (book discussion)?
What could be done to improve student's writing skills?
Pick three things (ideas, people, events etc) that you think have influenced
the world and defend the choice. To be discussed in class.
History vs Hollywood Movie Review
Class will choose two-three movies, which are appropriate to AP World History. (OR BREAK INTO MORE GROUPS-IT IS UP TO THE CLASS)
How should movies be used in this class?
What movies do you suggest? Why?
The class, being in groups, will create appropriate review sheets for the
chosen movies and will create an answer sheet FOR THE QUESTIONS ASKED. RESEARCH IS REQUIRED.
Suggestion for format: Acronym for use in movie reviews.
SAID (Synopsis, Accurate information, inaccurate information, and Directors point ofview).
The questions should focus on what is historically accurate or inaccurate segments of the movie. You will need references for support of the material chose. Example
MAKE SURE YOU SHOW THE HISTORICAL RELEVANCY TO WORLD HISTORY IN YOUR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS THAT YOU RESEARCH.
(THIS ASSIGNMENT IS MORE THAN WATCHING A MOVIE AND WRITING SOME QUESTIONS.)
